Talents:

Hand-to-hand Combat—When Ira was training in the hopes of becoming a soldier for Elavernis he asked for help from his sisters. For various reasons, they agreed. However, they only ever taught him hand-to-hand combat. Now that he lives with his sister, he has a lot of time to kill. He spends that time improving his skills, though, he is already an impressive warrior.

Stubbornness—Though some might not normally count this as a talent, it is the sole reason that Ira has gotten through half of the situations he’s been in. Though he’s a small fry for a gargoyle, he worked hard to become a talented warrior. When his sister said he’d never be pretty enough to pass himself as a girl, he cross-dressed and got a date. So yeah, once he starts something he almost always finishes it due to sheer willpower. On the other hand, it also makes him a little easy to manipulate. (His sisters love manipulating him.)

Unlucky— Though he'd prefer not to have this talent, Ira is blessed (or not) with the ability to end up in bad situations (he was born a runt, all of his sisters are stronger than him, he's lost an eye, etc.). He never seems to catch a break.

Personality:

Ira has a tendency to speak rudely. He doesn't usually consider manners unless he really admires the person he's talking to. If he does speak rudely to someone it's not because he's looking down on them or anything; he's just so used to all the back and forth bickering because of his sisters. Ira is more than a bit on the hotheaded side and takes challenges seriously. He's constantly trying to prove himself worthy. Though these may seem like bad qualities, they sometimes work in his favor. He has a good work ethic (even though he's unemployed) and is fiercely loyal to those that he likes.

History:

Ira was kind of a disappointment. Before he was born, his parents had already given birth to three fine female gargoyles. They expected that once they finally had a boy, he would be equally so. However, Ira ended up being a runt and it was soon clear that he was the least manly of all the siblings—despite his best efforts to prove this otherwise. Still, his parents found ways to love him. However, it was never equal between the siblings. While they let his sisters become warriors, they held Ira back fearing he'd be killed easily.

Ira, unable to give up his dream of becoming an Elavernis soldier, went behind his parents backs and had his sisters train him. They each taught him different skills relating to hand-to-hand combat. On his 14th birthday, his eldest sister gave him an axe. Ira's middle sister had a bad feeling about it, but said nothing. Sure enough, she was right and one day when he was training he messed up really bad and lost his eye.

Ira's parents were absolutely infuriated and tried to make him swear to abandon his dreams of becoming a soldier for Elavernis. He outright refused and was kicked out of the house. His middle sister, who was now married with a house of her own, took him in on a different condition: He can't have the axe back until she deems he's ready for it.
He accepted that deal and has been mooching off of his sister ever since. In all fairness though, he has tried to help her out by assisting her husband at his store, but since he tends to break things he ended up being banned from doing that. Occasionally, his sister sends him to other countries on a mini vacation so she can have some alone time with her husband.

Additional Info:

- The battle axe in the picture is the one his eldest sister gave him.

- He's not wearing the eyepatch to be mysterious or anything -- He's seriously missing an eye. Seriously, all there is there is an eye socket. It's gross.

- He has three sisters, all of which are older than him. He is currently living in Emerald City with the middle sister and her husband.

- When it comes down to it, he really does love his sisters. However, they continuously torment him (because they think it's funny). He's almost always in some sort of dispute with at least one of them.

- His middle sister sends Ira away every once and awhile so she can take a break.

- Ira is currently on bad terms with his parents, but his sisters come to visit him all the time.

- He has a strong dislike for women. His sisters ruined it for him. This makes any sort of relationship with females difficult.

- Ira has a fanboy level obsession with Ilquinis. It's kind of creepy. O_O
